The Snyder Legacy: Touching Thousands of Lives

Over the years, the Snyder Foundations has become synonymous with quality education, community services, and advancements in healthcare. Do in no small part to the Foundation’s philanthropic efforts, many achievements have been fostered in these spheres across Union County and the State of New Jersey. Many individuals and institutions have benefitted from its charitable giving and many have offered words of acknowledgement and gratitude for the Foundation’s persistent vigilance and commitment to worthwhile causes. The following are a few of the many expressions of generosity shared over the years.

“The Snyder Foundation has extended a generous hand of support to Muhlenberg since 1986. In 1990, the Foundation provided a grant for the purchase of an eight-patient central processor for the Cardiac Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program. In 1991, almost 1,100 monitored sessions for cardiac pulmonary patients were completed. The Muhlenberg community is happy to present the Lowell F. Johnson Philanthropic Award to Miss Audrey Snyder of the Snyder Foundation.

                     Governors for the Muhlenberg Foundation

“We are keenly aware of the charity care and financial burden regional medical centers have to bear to provide access to hospital care for a large percentage of the community. Without the financial support of private supporters such as the Snyder Foundation, much of this would not be possible.”

                     Julane Miller-Armbrister, President and Chief
                     Executive Officer, Plainfield Health Center

“Since its inception, the Snyder Foundation has played a critical role in supporting many programs and services in Union County. As a recipient of Snyder Foundation grants over these many years, I have witnessed firsthand the irreplaceable role they play in supporting the operations of numerous churches, libraries, social service agencies, and healthcare facilities throughout this geographical area.”

James Masterson, President, Union Hospital Foundation

“The YMCA has been fortunate to be among the many Union County organizations benefitting from the good works of the Snyder Foundation. The Snyder Foundation truly stands out to us. It has been an unsung leader in verifying that their awards will truly make a difference in people’s lives.”
